Sequoia Holmes, a 6'1 Combo Forward, has just completed a very successful season in the top women's professional league in Germany (DBBL).  A former star at UNLV, Holmes had just wrapped up her 2nd season in the WNBA before she signed with the German Club TSV Wasserburg back in October.  Having that WNBA experience under her belt, her new club in Germany had high expectations; and Sequoia did not disappoint.  In leading her team to a 2nd place regular season finish, Holmes ended the season ranked 3rd in points per game (17.2), 1st in rebounds per game (8.6), 4th in steals per game (2.4), and 1st in blocks per game (1.0).  Sequoia was the only player in the DBBL to rank in the top 5 in all 4 statistical categories.  However, the success didn't end in the regular season, as Holmes guided her team to their first league championship in three years with a 3-0 series sweep.  In the championship round sweep, Holmes brought her game to the next level as she averaged 20.3ppg, 10rpg, 3.3apg, 1.3bpg, and 4.3spg.  With all of her success in the DBBL, the postseason awards quickly started to pour in.  Holmes was named Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Forward of the Year, and was selected 1st Team All-German DBBL and All-Import Team.  After completing a terrific season overseas, Sequoia will continue her hard work and dedication to the game she loves.  More success is on the way for Sequoia Holmes...
